Yes, I am absent at work today because it’s my eldest daughter’s graduation, from Kindergarten
Her name is Jan Kathleen Marie. This is her 3rd graduation actually. Her first was when she was 3, for Nursery. The next two for Kinder 1 and 2. And now she’s 5, she earned 2 medals again. Can you sense a proud momma talking now?
Well that’s because she is a consistent class performer since she started schooling at the age 3. You made mommy proud baby!
I am hoping she could skip Preparatory this enrollment and be accepted in Grade 1. She can read and write well, the problem is her age. I think you should be at least 6 1/2 years old upon enrollment. When asked by people on what grade she is in now, she answers irritably like “I’m still in Kinder and it will be like..forever? She keeps on bugging me with never ending questions almost everytime someone asks her that particular question. Questions like:
Jan: mommy, kelan ba kasi ako mag-grade 1?
Me: When you reach 7.
Jan: Eh when will I turn 7? Is it tomorrow? next week?
Me: We have to wait another 2 years..
Jan: Gaano katagal ang 2 years?
Whenever I can sense that our conversation starts to become endless and I am busy doing something, I get irritated and tell her to ask Mama (my kids call their lola, Mama) because she knows better than me. My mama would scratch her head and after like 1 minute, she’s scream, razieeeeeeel! lol.
