It has become a tradition in the IMS Dept (formerly known as the Web Marketing Department) to go for an overnight outing during summer. The date usually fell on a Holy Week since we have at least 5 days of rest. Last year, the Web Marketing Summer Getaway was held in Gubat, Sorsogon where we stayed at the Rizal Beach Resort overnight.

This year, we decided to go back in Sorsogon. This time, our summer escapade was held in Bacon, Sorsogon. And we decided to make the typical outing more of an adventure, an island adventure that is. So we went to Paguriran Island. A small island that you can reach after crossing a part of the sea. But you don’t have to ride a boat or something to get there, you just have to walk since the water is only knee-deep. Here’s some of the photos I took:

We took the 1 hour drive to Bacon on Thursday morning, plus an additional 30-40 minutes drive (depends on the driver) to reach the island. The expenses, the perspiration, the tension (lol) of getting there I say, is all worth it. Look at the island, it’s a virgin island, never been touched, never been developed, and not yet commercialized. We all love it, never mind the heat of the sun. The water lured us all to take the plunge, including me (even though I had my first day of my monthly period then, good thing there are no sharks around the island. lol).

We also stayed overnight at a resort named Sea Breeze since the Paguriran Island does not have the proper amenities yet. Sea Breeze is also a nice place, the price is right and the owners are friendly as well. Here’s a view of the said resort:

The people who shared the fun with the IMS’s are John Olops, Con and of course Dex from the Content Development Dept. The sweet loveteams of USAP Legazpi like Zarah and Lenard, Jhong and Jazzy, Mike and Jho, Charlie and Babe, Mitch and Chester(?), Francis and Talie (the famous Bernalie Loveteam), Ces and hubby, and other friends like Mike and Maui(?) made the adventure more complete :P. Till next year guys!
